Admission Requirements

Admission is decided on a competitive basis. To be eligible for admission, you must satisfy the General Entrance Requirements and:

• a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized tertiary institution or an equivalent qualification before joining this programme;
• preferably have at least one year of professional experience in a communication area (e.g., new media, television, broadcasting, newspaper, advertising, and public relations, etc.)

Applicants whose entrance qualification is obtained from an institution where the medium of instruction is not English should also fulfill the following minimum English proficiency requirement:

• a score of 79 (internet-based test) in the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL); or
• an overall band score of 6.5 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or
• a score 450 in the new College English Test (CET-6) of Chinese mainland; or
• other equivalent qualifications

*TOEFL and IELTS scores are considered valid for two years. Applicants are required to provide their English test results obtained within the two years preceding the commencement of the University's application period.

The programme is open for both local and non-local applicants. Required by the Hong Kong Immigration Department, all non-local students must enroll in full-time study mode (i.e., taking 12 or more credits per semester) and obtain a student visa before coming to Hong Kong. For non-local applicants, you can also refer to the website of the Global Engagement Office to find out about living in Hong Kong and other aspects of student life at the University.

Tuition Fee

Tuition fee is charged on a credit unit basis. The tuition fee for the 2025-26 academic year is HK$7,200 per credit or HK$216,000 for 30 credits.
