Hong Kong’s scientific community must engage and leverage opportunities to propel itself to the forefront of developments in neutron scattering, according to Professor Xunli Wang, Head and Chair Professor of Department of Physics at City University of Hong Kong (CityU).

Professor Ruiqin Zhang of the Department of Physics at CityU was cited by APS “for path-breaking contributions to the development of quantum-mechanical many-body methods, as well as modelling and simulation of large electronic systems such as those with nanosurfaces, promoting their applications in the fields of environment, energy, biology and medicine”.

Ten faculty members from City University of Hong Kong (CityU) have been named as Highly Cited Researchers for 2018 by Clarivate Analytics, reflecting the high academic standard of our faculty and our excellent research performance. When applied to orthopedic implants such as artificial joints and dental implants, the novel technology can reduce the risk of infection after surgery and help patients recover more quickly.

A renowned scholar in neutron scattering at City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has been elected Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). He is the only scholar elected from Hong Kong this year.
