A Welcome Gathering for the second cohort of the Global Research Enrichment and Technopreneurship (GREAT) students was held on 15 September 2022.
We have selected 10 high performing students for admission this year, including non-local students from India and Korea for the first time.
At the gathering, Dr. Andy Siu, Programme Leader of GREAT, and Professor Daniel Ho, Associate Dean (Undergraduate Education), warmly welcomed the new students to the College of Science and walked them through the unique features and curriculum of GREAT, the different student enrichment programmes available, as well as the vast opportunities offered by the College, such as student exchange and internship programmes. Students were encouraged to be proactive in grasping the chances to explore, to plan their studies ahead, and to actively participate in various College activities in the coming years. More importantly, the teachers are always ready to provide the necessary guidance and assistance throughout their studies. Michael and Issac from the first cohort of GREAT also shared their valuable learning experience with their fellow students.
The College of Science wishes all students a fruitful campus life with GREAT experience in the years to come.
