Professor H K Chang, University President, returned from a short academic exchange to Cairo University in Egypt earlier this month. The trip laid down a foundation for future collaborations between the two universities.

Two exchange students under the Internship Programme for Exchange Students organized by the Co-operative Education Centre at CityU, said their internships in Hong Kong have proved rewarding.

An MFA graduate from the School of Creative Media (SCM) at CityU has won the Best Documentary Kodak Award at the 20th Fort Lauderdale International Film Festival (FLiFF) Student Competition in the US.

CityU Gallery is showcasing about 60 pieces of work created by the famous paper-cutting artists Yang Miaoqin and her daughter Li Yunxia. The exhibition, from now to 8 February 2006, highlights the folk traditions of peasant communities of Northern Shaanxi.

CityU Gallery held the opening ceremony of the “Signature Works of Kar Yeung” exhibition on 14 September. This exhibition showcases more than 60 paintings by Mr Tsui Kar-yeung, a pioneer of post-modern Chinese art.
