The Prize

William Benter Prize in Applied Mathematics

The prize recognizes outstanding mathematical contributions that have had a direct and fundamental impact on scientific, business, finance and engineering applications. 

It will be awarded to a single person for a single contribution, for a body of related contributions of his/her research, or for his/her lifetime achievement. The Prize recipient will be expected to come to City University of Hong Kong to receive his/her award in person and to give a presentation of his/her work. 

The prize will be given once every two years. The prize amount is US$100,000.
