The photography contest aims to encourage the CityU community to discover the beauty of the Brazil bougainvillea and promote CityU’s garden-like campus and admiration for nature. Colleagues, students and alumni are all welcomed.

 

The Brazil bougainvillea, which was selected as our floral emblem by the campus community in 2016, is tough, highly resilient and blossoms throughout the year, strongly reflecting the University’s character and perfectly capturing the idea of growth and new life.

 

The best pictures of this magnificent plant found on campus will win awesome prizes. The winner will receive a MacBook Pro; the 1st runner-up, a Fujitsu Lifebook computer; the 2nd runner-up, a Canon digital camera; the most “Likes” award, a Fitbit watch; and the merit awards, $400 gift vouchers.

 

To participate, simply capture the beauty of Brazil bougainvillea on campus using cameras or any digital device such as smart phones. Participants can check out the locations of the floral emblem on campus on the contest website (http://www.pd4n48r.xyz/cpro/floralemblem).

 

Prior to submission, participants must read carefully the related requirements, the rules and regulations as well as the terms and conditions on the contest website. Submission(s) can be emailed to the Communications and Public Relations Office (CPRO) or inbox to Facebook page (www.facebook.com/cityufloralemblem) on or before 3 April.

 

The winning entries might be printed on CityU’s official postcards and/or souvenir collections. The University reserves the right not to adopt any of the winning entries. All submissions must be original, unpublished work.

 

Spring is in the air, and campus is bursting into a riot of colour! It is the best time of year for budding photographers to prove their worth.
