Precisive feeding

 

Aquaculture is a fast-growing industry with millions of tonnes of output annually. China is the largest aquaculture country in the world, accounting for about 65% of the production of global aquatic products every year. In aquaculture farms, companies tend to overfeed the fish, so the cost of feed accounts for about 50 percent of total production costs. Additionally, over-feeding can affect the health of the fish and lead to fatty liver or obesity.

In this project, we aim to provide a precise feeding mechanism for aquaculture companies. First, we will go to aquaculture companies to determine the growth condition of their cultured animals and diagnose sick animals. Depending on their growth and health condition, we will develop specific feed with additives that can promote growth or cure disease. With the help of this project, aquaculture companies will be able to produce seafood in a much shorter time with a higher yield, while making tasty, higher-quality seafood available to consumers. Thus, we can achieve a win-win situation for fishermen and consumers.
