Chairman and CTO of Sanwa Biotech Limited
Mr Yim is the Founder, Executive Chairman and CTO of Sanwa BioTech Ltd. He is an active industrialist, technologist and inventor. He has extensive knowledge in electronics, optics, precision mechanics and advanced manufacturing technologies. He is currently the President of Hong Kong Critical Components Manufacturers’ Association and Vice-Chairmen of several industry associations, including Hong Kong Electronics & Technologies Association and Hong Kong Opto-Mechatronics Industries Association. He was also a member of advisory committee of various organisations and academia, such as Hong Kong Trade Development Council, Quality Framework and Hong Kong Baptist University.
Mr Yim has numerous inventions, covering communications, underwater photography and biotechnology, including ALiA Microfluidic Lab-On-Chip based Point of Care Testing Platform. He holds over 80 patents and has received many design and invention awards, including Hong Kong Awards for the Industries in product design and technology achievement and a gold award at Salon International Des Inventions Geneva in 2016.
