University Francophone Film Festival: Memoir of War
In collaboration with the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong & Macau, The Cultural Exchange Oasis is pleased to present the University Francophone Film Festival. Being a part of the Francophonie Festival 2023, the film “Memoir of War” (French: La Douleur) will be shown at CityU campus on the night of 23 March.
It is a 2017 French drama film directed by Emmanuel Finkiel that stars Mélanie Thierry and Beno?t Magimel and is based on the 1985 autobiographical novel La Douleur by Marguerite Duras. It was selected as the French entry for the Best Foreign Language Film at the 91st Academy Awards.
