Industrialisation and development of biomass aramid battery separator

This project aims to address the shortcomings of current lithium battery separators, including poor thermal stability and wettability, and the tendency to shrink when heated. Biomass raw materials (e.g. 2,5-furandicarboxylic acid) are used to produce bio-based, aramid-coated battery separators with excellent properties, such as high heat resistance, good wettability, strong puncture resistance and high ionic conductivity. Through this project, we aim to realise import substitution for Sumitomo, Teijin and other foreign companies and respond to the national carbon neutralisation strategy.
