Students taking the undergraduate course, SEE3103 Energy Demand, offered by the School participated in the visit to the International Commerce Centre (ICC) on 1 November 2014 (Saturday).

ICC is a composite building with offices, restaurants, an observation deck and a hotel. It is equipped with a wide range of advanced building services and yet taking into account of being environmentally friendly. Some of the special features including the automatic cleaning fresh water cooled air-conditioning system and double deck destination lift control system. ICC has also been voted by the public as one of the Hong Kong People Engineering Wonders in the 21^st Century by the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers. During the visit, students have learnt the energy saving and waste management strategies that have been implemented in the building.
