The Highly Cited Researchers list by Clarivate is an annual recognition of influential scientists and social scientists worldwide who have made significant contributions to their fields. This year, 7,125 Highly Cited Researcher 2023 designations were issued to 6,849 individuals. Each researcher selected has authored multiple Highly Cited Papers which rank in the top 1% by citations for their fields and publication year in the Web of Science over the past decade. Of the world’s population of scientists and social scientists, Highly Cited Researchers are 1 in 1,000. This is also a reflection of the impactful work at the School of Energy and Environment (SEE).
