The School of Energy and Environment (SEE) at City University of Hong Kong (CityUHK) successfully concluded its annual SEE Retreat on 23 May 2024, a day dedicated to fostering collaboration, inspiring discussions, and strengthening the bond among faculty members and staff.

The SEE Retreat brought together faculty members and administrative and technical staff within SEE. The event provided a platform for knowledge exchange, brainstorming sessions, and strategic planning, all aimed at advancing the school’s objectives and promoting excellence in research and education.

Throughout the retreat, faculty members and staff actively engaged in group discussions, sharing their expertise, insights, and innovative ideas. These interactive sessions facilitated interdisciplinary collaborations and sparked new initiatives that address the pressing energy and environmental challenges of our time.

One of the highlights of the retreat was the insightful session shared by Ms. Shirley Chong, Director of Communications and Institutional Research Office at CityUHK. Her expertise and valuable contributions on enhancing global rankings and visibility provided the participants with valuable insights and strategies.

We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to Prof. David Pui for his invaluable contributions during his stay in CityUHK as a Visiting Distinguished Professor. Prof. Pui has shared his expertise and guidance with the SEE community, enriching discussions and inspiring participants to critically address global energy and environmental challenges.

The SEE Retreat served as a testament to the school’s commitment to continuous improvement, collaboration, and excellence in research and education. It provided a platform for participants to reflect on past achievements, identify areas for growth, and collectively envision a brighter future for the SEE.
