Abstract
The Magnetic Anomaly Detection (MAD) technology makes use of the geomagnetic field of the Earth to detect anomalous unknowns. It has been used in various applications including the submarine detection, geophysical exploration and earthquake precursor detection. In this talk, I shall describe a mathematical theory for this advanced technology.
