Abstract
In this seminar, we discuss Sideris and Thomases’ papers on the three dimensional elastodynamics. This is a typical hyperbolic system with different characteristic speeds. To derive large time existence of classical solutions, the local energy decay estimates are applied to control the nonlinear interactions
