Esther studied for her Bachelor’s in Biology at the University of Texas at Arlington, and her Master’s in Linguistics at CityU. She received her CELTA teacher training at the University of Texas at Austin in 2015, and has completed her DELTA diploma in 2021. Her diverse educational and cultural background has prompted her interests in academic English for specific disciplines, as well as related material development.

Prior to joining CityU, Esther had worked at the Independent Learning Centre and the School of Journalism and Communication at CUHK.
