INVITATION
We cordially invite you to participate in The 1st Hong Kong Secondary School Cosmetic Formulation Competition, proudly organized by City University of Hong Kong (Department of Chemistry) and Hong Kong Society of Cosmetic Chemists (HKSCC).
MISSION
The competition aims to arouse the interest of secondary school students in cosmetic science and to engage them to apply chemistry knowledge and experimental skills in developing new cosmetic formulations.
ELIGIBILITY
A team formed by 3-4 secondary school students and led by 1 teacher.
ADMISSION FEE
Free of Charge (A set of cosmetic ingredients will be provided).

* The exact dates of each event will be announced in due course.
Notes:
- Each participating team is required to design cosmetic formulations and fabricate each of the cosmetic products (lipstick, face cream & face cleanser) based on a set of complimentary cosmetic ingredients provided.
- The written report must include specific information of the ingredients and the fabrication procedures for each of their cosmetic formulations (max 4-A4 pages, font 12, schemes and figures included, pdf format).
- The 6-minute video is to record the preparation of their cosmetic products.
- Each shortlisted team will be given 15 minutes (10-min presentation and 5-min Q&A) to present the project and finished cosmetics products to the judging panel.
AWARD
Trophies and Certificates of Merit will be presented to the Champion, 1st runner-up and 2nd runner-up.
